Job Description
The role holder is responsible for handling our legal and corporate affairs. The role holder also supports internal departments through providing the legal consultations and advise on various matters and by reviewing & drafting contracts and documents, communicating with the external lawyers for the Company’s cases, providing legal opinion in the company’s cases, assisting the project team in handling project’s issues, debts collection and to ensure adherence to legal provisions and protection of company rights.
Responsibilities:
• Act as a point of contact for providing legal advice on various matters which involve,
client contracts, employment contracts, AMCs, labour law related compliances, debt
recovery, legal action against clients / vendors, disciplinary procedures against
employees.
• To conduct periodic research and update concerned departments on recent changes to
laws in Bahrain, KSA, Kuwait, UAE and Qatar.
• Assist Legal Counsel in managing all administrative responsibilities in the Legal office.
• Reviewing Non-Disclosure Agreements, contracts and documents.
• Draft non-disclosure agreements, non-compete agreements, work order terms and
references, authorization letters, etc.
• Organize all legal documents in a confidential way.
• Prepare weekly work report, maintaining, monitoring calendars and taking notes.
• Follow up and update the status of ongoing legal cases to the Executive Management
on a periodic basis.
• Supporting in enhancing & systemizing the department’s work.
• Working knowledge of FIDIC is desirable.
• Coordinate with external lawyers for new / ongoing court cases.
• Coordinate with the Group Legal Function for related approvals, authorizations and
periodic reporting on certain matters.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in law.
• Legal experience of at least 5 years, preferably in GCC (Gulf region)
• Working knowledge of FIDIC is desirable.
• English language proficiency is a must.
• Knowledge of applicable government regulations, computer skills.
• Exhibits positivity, passion, integrity, and responsibility.
