Job Description
An experienced Mechanical Supervisors with a background in nuclear outages on a contract basis, to be located in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
- Provide technical expertise in investigating and resolving equipment issues to support safe operations and maintain equipment integrity.
- Â Lead assessment of component performance using predictive maintenance technologies for improved reliability.
- Manage maintenance windows for shutdown management.
- Â Optimize preventive maintenance programs based on as-found conditions to improve resource use and reliability.
- Â Evaluate components against regulatory requirements and industry best practices for enhanced reliability.
- Â Prioritize and manage maintenance work backlog for optimal resource use, reporting results to component engineering management.
- Â Conduct toolbox talks, pre-job briefs, and safety communications.
- Â Ensure adherence to quality standards, coordinating with quality engineers to resolve procedural issues and uphold workmanship standards.
- Â Oversee maintenance activities performed by contractors to ensure procedural compliance.
- Â Lead complex troubleshooting, engineering evaluations, operability determinations, and ODMIs.
- Â Develop and implement temporary modifications for short-term needs, enabling the Design Department to focus on scheduled work.
- Â Support World Association of Nuclear Operators (WANO) reviews.
- Â Provide support during shutdowns or emergency response situations, which may involve shift work.
- Â Offer feedback on training programs and evaluate operator performance to improve training and qualifications.
- Â Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security policies, taking reasonable care of personal and others\’ health, safety, and environmental impact.
- Â Support Crisis Management and Business Continuity adherence to continue critical activities.
- Â Contribute to developing UAE National employees in line with corporate Emiratization strategy.

Requirements:
-  Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
-  5 years’ experience in a Nuclear Power Plant outage environment, primarily in equipment maintenance.
- Â Extensive experience in mechanical valve activities, including MOV and AOV inspections and maintenance.
- Â Knowledge of nuclear safety procedures and international standards.
- Â Expertise in valve operations, heavy lifting, and mechanical valve maintenance.
- Â Proficient in MS Project/Primavera.
- Strong decision-making, leadership, and team coordination skills.
- Â Effective planning, organizing, and prioritizing abilities.
- Â Proficient in decision-making, problem-solving, and communication.
- Â Strong man-management and interpersonal skills.

- Â Working Hours: 8 hours per day, 6 days a week
- Pre-Outage: 40-48 hours per week, based on client requirements
- Â Over Outage Period: 72 hours per week
- Â Overtime: Applicable after 48 hours
- Â Contract: Single status
- Amenities Provided: Food, accommodation, and transport at the project site (client provided)
- Â Basic Salary: 60%
- Â Site Allowance: 30%
- Â Shift Allowance: 10%
- Â Overtime rate applied to basic salary
- Â Duration: 3 months per outage, with potential for extension
- Availability
- Â Candidates should be available to join by January 25 for the next planned outage.
