Job Description
Our newest opportunity is for a Senior Financial Analyst , to join our team. This is a fast paced, highly progressive career opportunity. Responsibilities include financial modelling, financial forecasting, internal financial reporting, operational planning and analysis, revenue-producing contract analysis and cost budgeting.
Responsibilities:
- Â Evaluating and analysing a variety of financial results and indicators such as capital expenditures, depreciation, proposals, investment opportunities, rate of return, profit plans, operating records and financial statements.
- Â Recommending actions that may be taken to improve financial results, building financial models, forecasts and creating project cost budgets.
- Â Compiling budgetary and fiscal data received from assigned departments to prepare revenue balance statements and historical comparisons of departmental expenditures with requested appropriations.
- Â Analysing records of present and past operations, trends and costs, estimated and realized revenues, administrative commitments and obligations incurred to project future revenues and expenses.
- Â Assisting in preparation of special studies, analysis and recommendations in areas such as budgets, forecasts, financial plans, governmental requirements, statistical reports, and business forecasts.
- Â Retrieving and organising data into required reporting formats to provide a basis for comparison and evaluation.
- Â Preparing reports analysing specific aspects of department structures, functions and operational procedures and recommends ways to improve efficiency and/or effectiveness.
- Â Ensuring invoices for professional and reimbursable fees are recorded under proper project numbers.
- Â Assisting business divisions with accounts receivable follow up, reporting and analysis.
- Â Assisting with direct labour, direct cost and budget variance analysis.
- Â Ensuring proper allocation of direct costs to projects.
- Â Performing adhoc reporting and analysis and other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Â To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that you will bring minimum 7 years’ career experience partnered with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or equivalent.
- Â Masters level qualification preferred.
- Â Previous experience working for an investment bank, consulting or accounting firm.
- Â Real estate investment experience would be advantageous.
- Â CFA 1 or CMA 1 or equivalent mandatory.
- Â Advanced Excel modelling and PowerPoint skills.
- Â Ability to effectively interact at all levels and throughout the business.
- Â Strong presentation skills.
- Â High level of communications skills in English, both verbal and written.
