Job Description
- Lead a team of engineers and designers and maintain a good balance between budget and client expectations.
- Â Closely co-ordinate with Client representatives as required for successful delivery
- Â Should be hands-on with Qatar Energy, Shell DEP Standards and in the preparation and checking of various engineering deliverables.
- Â Lead, prepare and deliver with the back-office team for multiple medium/small-sized portfolio projects.
- Â Initiate, manage and where required supervise electrical engineering project requirements
- Â Perform electrical engineering services such as: participate in relevant meetings, prepare progress reports, and follow required checking procedures.
- Â Ensure the project scope is clear and that changes comply with project change management processes.
- Â Provide assistance and advice during procurement, construction, and commissioning activities. For example, write requisitions, conduct technical bid evaluations, and write purchase orders.
- Â If required, act as the electrical engineering Lead on specific projects.
- Â If responsible for a team:
- Â Outline project requirements including actively promoting workshare, where appropriate, assign tasks and supervise progress, and
- Â Keep up to date with the latest developments and technical innovations in electrical engineering.
- Â If required, assist, and support junior personnel within the electrical engineering team.
- Â Communicate effectively with the electrical engineering team and project stakeholders, including the Customer.
Identify issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions, and ask for assistance when required. - Â Extensive Shell Projects work experience at a senior level within the Oil & Gas industry especially in offshore.
- Â Experience within the infrastructure, oil and gas industry or power industry.
- Â Full-Time Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university
- Â MME (Ministry of Municipality and Environment) engineering accreditation is a mandatory requirement. Candidates not holding this accreditation must be willing to achieve this within the probationary period
- Â Maintain HSE focus with the team to ensure OHSE requirements.

Requirements:
- Â Competent in the use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite and discipline specific software, ETAP, CYMECAP
- Â Able to work in diverse team
- Â Able to make difficult decisions and lead and manage others in changing business conditions.
- Â Highly effective people management skills such as leadership, team, interpersonal, coaching, mentoring and supervisory skills. Must be able to build, motivate, develop and manage an effective team.
