Job Description
- Â Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
- Â Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with local and international accounting standards.
- Â Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
- Â Prepare and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Â Coordinate annual audits and liaise with external auditors to ensure a smooth audit process.
- Â Manage cash flow, monitor cash positions, and ensure the company meets its financial obligations.
- Â Provide leadership and mentorship to the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Â Analyze financial data and prepare reports to present to senior management, highlighting key insights and trends.
- Â Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and oversee tax reporting and planning.
- Â Collaborate with other departments to support business initiatives and drive financial performance.
Requirements:
- Â Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master’s degree or professional accounting certification (CPA, ACCA, etc.) is preferred.
- Â Proven experience (5+ years) in a senior accounting role, preferably within the real estate sector.
- Â Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
- Â Demonstrated experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Â Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
- Â Proficient in accounting software and ERP systems; advanced Excel skills are essential.
- Â Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Â Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
- Â Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
- Â Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
