Job Description

An experienced Valve Supervisor (with a background in nuclear outages) on a contract basis, to be located in Abu Dhabi, UAE.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             We are seeking a skilled and experienced Valve Technician for Motor Operated Valves (MOV) and Air Operated Valves (AOV) at Barakah plant for a Nuclear Outage. This role is responsible for performing diagnostics, troubleshooting, maintenance, and refurbishment of MOV and AOV systems using advanced diagnostic tools. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of valve diagnostics and maintenance procedures, particularly in the nuclear industry.

  • Perform troubleshooting and corrective maintenance for MOV/AOV systems according to manufacturer manuals (e.g., Rotork, Biffi, Dresser, Parcol, Velan, Emerson).
  •  Conduct refurbishment of MOV and AOV actuators and accessories.
  •  Utilize diagnostic systems like Viper20 and VOTES Infinity for data acquisition, analysis, and calibration of MOV/AOV systems.
  •  Create, issue, and revise maintenance procedures for valves, including electrical and pneumatic actuators and associated accessories.
  •  Execute diagnostic procedures, including preventive, predictive, and corrective activities, using Viper20 and VOTES Infinity systems.
  •  Conduct calibration, diagnostics, and troubleshooting as part of regular maintenance activities.
  •  Provide interdepartmental support to Engineering and Operations departments.
    Requirements:

  •  Ability to coordinate Electrical, Instrumentation, and Control (EI&C) teams for equipment commissioning.
  •  Experience coordinating EI&C teams for preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.
  •  Proficient in interpreting maintenance procedures, technical drawings, and manufacturer specifications.
  •  Skilled in operating personal computers and wireless diagnostic equipment.
