Job Description

The Senior Mergers & Acquisitions Executive will be a key member of the leadership team, reporting directly to the CSO, responsible for identifying, evaluating, and executing mid to large-scale M&A projects globally. This individual will bring extensive experience in the FMCG industry, with a proven track record of managing complex transactions that drive strategic growth. The role demands strong financial acumen, exceptional negotiation skills, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams through all phases of the M&A lifecycle.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  •  Develop and implement a comprehensive M&A strategy that aligns with the company’s growth objectives, focusing on market expansion, product diversification, and strategic partnerships.
  •  Identify potential acquisition targets and investment opportunities that align with the company’s long-term strategic goals.
  •  Lead end-to-end M&A processes, including deal origination, financial modeling, due diligence, negotiation, and post-merger integration.
  •  Conduct in-depth financial and strategic analysis to assess the viability and impact of potential deals.
  •  Collaborate closely with the executive team, board members, and key stakeholders to ensure alignment on M&A objectives and strategies.
  •  Maintain strong relationships with external advisors, including investment banks, legal counsel, and consultants.
  •  Oversee the assessment and management of risks associated with M&A transactions, ensuring all deals are compliant with regulatory requirements.
  •  Develop and implement best practices in M&A governance and risk mitigation.
  •  Lead the integration of acquired companies, ensuring a smooth transition and alignment with the company’s culture and operational standards.
  •  Monitor and report on the performance of acquired entities to ensure the realization of anticipated synergies and financial returns.
  •  Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing M&A team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  •  Provide strategic guidance and support to team members, ensuring their professional growth and development.
Requirements:
  •  Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. An MBA from a top-tier business school is highly preferred.
  •  Minimum of 15 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions within the FMCG industry, with a proven track record in managing mid to large-scale global M&A projects.
  •  Extensive experience in deal sourcing, financial analysis, due diligence, and post-merger integration.
  •  Deep understanding of the FMCG sector, including market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive dynamics on a global scale.
