  • Cut, trim, and prepare various types of meat, including beef, pork, lamb, and poultry, according to specific standards and customer preferences.
  •  Ensure all meat products are prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  •  Advise customers on meat selections and preparation techniques, providing excellent customer service.
  •  Monitor inventory levels of meat products and communicate with management regarding stock replenishment needs.
  •  Maintain and operate cutting tools and equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring they are in good working condition.
  •  Assist in the training of new staff members in proper butchering techniques and safety protocols.
  •  Prepare specialty cuts and value-added products, such as sausages and marinated meats, to meet customer demand.
  •  Ensure compliance with all food safety standards and regulations, including proper handling and storage of meat products.
  •  Keep up-to-date with trends in the meat industry, including new techniques, products, and customer preferences.
  •  Participate in regular team meetings and contribute ideas for improving service and product offerings.
    Requirements:
  •  Proven experience as a butcher or in a similar role within the food industry.
  •  Strong knowledge of meat cuts, preparation techniques, and food safety standards.
  •  Ability to operate butchering equipment and tools safely and effectively.
  •  Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
  •  Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality in all aspects of work.
  •  Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy products and work in a fast-paced environment.
  •  Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  •  High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in food safety or butchering techniques are a plus.
  • A passion for working with food and a desire to provide customers with the best possible products.
