Job Description

The Lead Signaling Engineer participates in the design review and engineering team, leading systems activities under the supervision of the senior signaling engineer and in coordination with the project key stakeholders.

• Responsible for reviewing designing signalling systems (CBTC) components/equipment and all related technical sub-systems and operations modes (ATO,ATS,ATC,ATP).
• Responsible for signaling system integrations for rolling stock, track work, systems interfaces, , configurations, safety assurance, and verification & validation (V&V).
• Assisting with senior signaling engineer / project team related design review, SOP, and HSE signaling documentations.
• Experience in RAM project plan and signaling system safety plan.
• Full understand the RAMS to ensure that a product, process or system full-fills the mission for which it was designed; under the national/international standards.
• Responsible for all signaling systems/sub-systems interfaces,integrations with other discplines.
• Overseeing signaling maintenance activites, EMC, cable specs, track work, SIL plans and operational technical studies, alignement data requirements.
• Support other members of the consultant’s technical team on technical issues.
• During the construction, installation and T&C phases, ensure that the works are carried out according to the approved designed, in conjunction with the project team
• Provide relevant input for regular and ad-hoc reports.

Requirements:

• BSc degree in electrical/mechanical engineering
• General overall experience (10) years including
• 7 years of professional experience in the same field.
• 3 years of experience in management and implementation of similar projects and in a similar position.
• He/She will have knowledge of the main structural systems used in the Metro and the safety requirements for the designs, according to international standards and accepted best practice.
• Arabic: Native proficiency would be an advantage
• English: Bilingual proficiency
• Strong communications, coordination, and management skills
