Job Description
- All design engineering activities, project management skills, technical execution and completion of assigned engineering tasks
- Â Assisting the project engineers in the co-ordination and preparation of input into the contract documents for each discipline area, including design criteria, scope of work, procedures and design approach.
- Â Leading the team of pipeline engineers for the assigned project.
- Â Liaison and co-ordination with other engineers and discipline groups on the contract to effect timely production of deliverables.
- Â Technical writing activities, in particular, production of technical reports and procedures
- Â Provide interpretation and verification of design & engineering
- Â Facilitate and administer interdisciplinary coordination
- Â Providing proposal inputs for the new jobs under bidding stage.
- Â Setting high performance standards for the team of engineers working on the assigned project.
- Â Experience in preparation of Pipeline Design documents independently and complete the design activities within specified schedule & budget.
- Â Self motivated, shall work independently leading the team of engineers & designers for the project with effective communication with Project Managers/PEMs and Discipline Manager.
- Â Pro-active, should be able to guide Engineers & Designers on technical and non-technical issues towards effective solutions.
- Â Capable of executing multiple tasks and delivering it efficiently within specified schedule.
- Â Pipeline route selection, to optimise costs of new pipelines.
- Â Pipeline sizing and design to meet performance criteria.
- Â Cost estimating for pipelines and facilities.
- Â Providing pipeline construction support.
- Â Up to date knowledge and experience in onshore pipeline design codes for oil and gas industry
- Â Quality Assurance – Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality
- Assurance system relevant to the Oil & Gas Business Unit.
- Â Safety – Responsible for personal safety, safe working practices for the Oil & Gas Business Unit. Understand and follow OH&S procedures.
Requirements:
- Â Must have vast pipeline design engineering experience in the Oil and Gas industry, offshore and onshore or related petrochemicals industry.
- Â Extensive experience in Pre-FEED, FEED and detailed design of Oil and Gas pipelines.
- Â Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent Degree in Mechanical / Pipeline Engineering
- Â Professional registration is preferred
- Â Affiliation to engineers’ association/institute bodies shall add additional advantage
- Â Computer skills particularly in the use of CEASER package for stress analysis and knowledge of the onshore pipeline design calculations for wall thickness, buoyancy, upheavel buckling, etc. in Excel/ Math Cad.
- Â Proven leadership skills
- Â Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Â Must be accustomed to leading teams to deliver on time and within budget
- Â Should be able to work largely independently with minimal supervision from Group Head.
