Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Health and Safety Inspector to join our team in Riyadh. Responsibilities:

A dynamic leader capable of guiding a team of HSE inspectors while effectively managing contractor relationships. This individual has the expertise to conduct meetings, deliver presentations, and engage with clients on various matters, demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills in every aspect of their role.

  •  Conduct thorough inspections of workplace environments, equipment, and practices to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  •  Identify potential hazards and risks, and recommend corrective actions to mitigate them.
  •  Develop and implement health and safety policies, protocols, and training programs to promote a culture of safety.
  •  Review and analyze incident reports, investigating accidents and near-misses to determine root causes and prevent recurrence.
  •  Collaborate with management and employees to foster a proactive approach to health and safety.
  •  Stay up-to-date with current regulations, standards, and best practices in health and safety.
  •  Prepare detailed reports on inspection findings, compliance status, and recommendations for improvement.
  •  Conduct safety audits and risk assessments, presenting findings to leadership and ensuring follow-up actions are taken.
  •  Lead health and safety training sessions and workshops for employees, enhancing their awareness and understanding of safety practices.
  •  Act as a liaison with regulatory agencies and ensure timely reporting and compliance with all required submissions.
Requirements:
  •  Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  •  Minimum of 12 years of experience in health and safety inspection, preferably working with consultant.
  •  In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards, both local and international.
  •  Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
  •  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage employees at all levels.
  •  Proficiency in conducting training sessions and workshops, with a focus on employee engagement and safety culture.
  •  Certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent are highly desirable.
  •  Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  •  Fluency in English is required.
