Job Description

As a shift engineer, your role in providing machinist work to all equipment is crucial in maintaining the seamless operation With your expertise, you ensure the smooth functioning of essential components such as bearings, gears, belts, shafts, and control mechanisms.   •  Follow payroll and uniform procedures while supervising service and repairs for electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire safety, and refrigeration systems as outlined in the Technical Skills List.
  •  Conduct regular maintenance, lubrication, and machinist work on equipment, ensuring all tasks are completed professionally and safely.
  •  Maintain a clean and organized Engineering Department, addressing guest complaints regarding maintenance in a timely manner and performing preventive maintenance throughout the property.
  •  Respond to work orders and emergency situations, including utility shutdowns, while maintaining accurate logs of all work and repairs performed.
  •  Operate, monitor, and maintain large-capacity chillers, electrical generators, steam and hot water boilers, ensuring efficient functioning under various conditions.
  •  Ensure compliance with safety regulations, report any damages or unsafe conditions immediately, and participate actively in health and safety training.
  •  Collaborate with team members and department heads to maintain effective operation and report any unusual occurrences or personnel issues to the Director of Engineering.
Requirements:

 Four years of technical training and practical experience as a machinist or operations engineer.

  •  Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking the English language.
  •  Experience with laundry, HVAC, kitchen equipment, and electrical systems.
  •  Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office and Word are required.
  •  Strong communication skills for coordinating daily follow-up emails.
