Job Description

• Responsibilities include culinary artistry/creativity, where you will prepare and cook a variety of hot kitchen dishes, including Asian breakfast classics like samosas and mandazi (East African fried doughnuts), burgers, sandwiches, as well as Indian sweets, showcasing creativity by experimenting with flavors, textures, and presentation.
• Develop master recipes and be the guardian of secret spice blends and in-house recipes, executing them with precision to ensure consistent quality.
• Collaborate with the head chef to develop a tantalizing menu that celebrates hot chicken delights and introduce seasonal specials and fusion twists.
• Lead by example, inspiring the kitchen team with your passion and expertise, and delegating tasks efficiently to maintain a smooth kitchen operation.
• Ensure quality control by tasting every dish to meet the highest standards and monitoring portion sizes, plating, and overall presentation.
• Maintain impeccable cleanliness in your workspace and follow food safety guidelines religiously.

Requirements:

• Education requirements include formal culinary training or equivalent certification from a recognized culinary institution, and fluency in English.
• You must have 3-5 years of experience in a professional kitchen setting.
• Strong culinary skills with a focus on hot kitchen dishes.
• A creative mindset with attention to detail.
• The ability to work collaboratively within a kitchen team, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
