Job Description
- Â Works under close guidance and supervision of the Commi & Chef de Partie
- Â Prepares mis-en-place according to standard recipes
- Â Is required to know basic cooking methods
- Â Observe and taste food items when being cooked
- Â Take notes and record all recipes in your recipe book
- Â Assists in the preparation of functions and buffets
- Â Transport food to and from outlets
- Â Cleans and maintains work areas, equipment, utensils, and cold rooms at all times
- Â Assist Commi & Chef de Partie in the performance of his/her duties
- Â Works continually using the Customer Comes First values
- Â Performs any other duties that may be assigned to him
- Â Receive and transport the grocery items ordered by the section from store to kitchen
- Â May be required to take part in Hotel/Kitchen training
- Â Dispenses food only with a micros check or valid captain order
Requirements:
- Â Creative and passionate about food and customer service
- Â Able to work in a high-pressure environment
- Â Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; a team player
