Job Description

To optimize the mixology trends in both sales and product, through continual development of drinks and the products it offers. Assist in maintaining the standards of the cocktails and ensure Guest satisfaction. Operational procedures are met and value is added to the F&B objectives. Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  •  Creating innovative drinks and maintaining consistency for the outlets
  •  Educate Food and Beverage Colleagues about spirits and innovative trends of Mixology
  •  Have an excellent palate for spirits and an excellent knowledge of balancing drinks
  •  Encourage continual development of the cocktails we offer in the outlets
  •  Developing colleagues via on job training, plus conducting training sessions and weekly meetings with the bartenders.
  •  Maintaining good cost control
  •  Maintaining micros buttons and pricing.
  •  Tracking and maintaining all cocktails featured in the outlets
  •  Maintaining the database for drinks and standard recipes
  •  Establish standards in quality and quantity and its implementation and control in relation to drinks.
  •  Quality assurance audits should be conducted in all outlets.
  •  Responsible for new beverage promotions and inputting creative and innovative ideas on how to make it successful.
  •  Make use of knowledge and continuous learning ability while purchasing, storing and controlling items and products.
  •  Opening/closing duties
  •  Glassware-cleaning/storage and weekly inventory
  •  To assist in maintaining all areas of guest service and core standards
  •  Ensuring the bar maintains a positive visual impact; including ambiance, cleanliness, orderliness, and décor.
  •  Maintaining preventative cleaning and maintenance program of all glassware and wine service related equipment
  •  Finding creative solutions and proactively solving problems in order to meet a demanding client base.
  •  Monitor operating supplies and report any maintenance issues.
Requirements:
  •  Excellent F&B knowledge/ Wine, Spirits and liqueurs & Cigars.
  •  Minimum 2 years as a Bartender.
  •  Experience in Food & Beverage in a luxury property preferred.
  •  Hotel Management Graduate an asset
  •  International experience an asset
  •  Excellent communication and organizational skills
  •  Highly responsible & reliable
  •  Work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
  •  Must be able to work well in a team environment
  •  Previous Micros experience an asset, but not required (training provided)
  •  Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  •  Youthful, enthusiastic, charismatic and approachable
