Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Commi Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team in Bahrain. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes, following our restaurant’s standards and recipes. The Commi Chef will work closely with the senior chefs to ensure a smooth operation in the kitchen, contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests. Responsibilities:

  •  Assist in the preparation of ingredients and dishes according to the restaurant’s recipes and standards.
  •  Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace and equipment.
  •  Support senior chefs in food preparation, cooking, and plating of dishes.
  •  Ensure that food safety and hygiene standards are upheld at all times.
  •  Participate in stock management, including inventory control and ordering supplies.
  •  Help with menu planning and the development of new dishes under the guidance of senior chefs.
  •  Assist in training and mentoring new kitchen staff when required.
  •  Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service and high-quality food delivery.
  •  Adapt to changing menus and special dietary requirements as needed.
  •  Contribute to a positive team environment and maintain effective communication within the kitchen.
Requirements:
  •  Previous experience as a Commi Chef or in a similar role in a restaurant setting is preferred.
  •  A passion for cooking and a desire to learn and develop culinary skills.
  •  Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
  •  Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  •  Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  •  Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  •  Culinary degree or certification from a recognized institution is a plus, but not mandatory.
  •  Creativity and attention to detail in food presentation.
  •  Positive attitude and willingness to take constructive feedback.
